Abstract

Crypto Auth Tokens (CATs) are used in Facebook’s scalable, token-based authentication backend infrastructure. They were created to deal with an ever growing, large-scale, multi-system organization. CATs are flexible, performant, and reliable. They support authentication at scope and scale for Facebook’s backend infrastructure.

Bio

Yueting Lee is a software engineer at Facebook, building security infrastructure within Facebook’s infrastructure. Yueting is originally from Hong Kong but went on to study at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she graduated with a degree in Computer Science.
